It's time to eat tramlines...
THE FRINGE
No one wants to miss the Friday of this coming tramlines, we know that. But what are you gonna do when you’ve shaken all your sillies out at Pulp and John Shuttleworth? Don’t worry, we’ve got a telly-filled weekend to look forward to.
Come and see us at the wonderful new Mary st live on Saturday 26th, and again at Network on the 27th.
Tellyeaters jingles, and other brilliant acts to keep your spirit high.
Mary St Live
On Saturday the 26th we will be at Mary St Live, "a unique venue that supports the Sheffield music scene and gives back to its communities. Gigs, club nights, music education events."
NETWORK
On the Sunday we will be at the iconic Network venue at 8:30 PM sharp!
Previous Business
"The album cover is pretty, also makes me feel like I'm in a hospital bed, the flowers feel like dizzy stars as well. Sound-wise, I’m not even joking, this one’s better than Mahogany."
Admittedly this was a surprising release, so what motivated the eaters to churn out such an impromptu good?
"This song was simply the next in line after our EP in February. It’s the one we’d been playing longest and the one we found most satisfying to play. There was about a month left of Sixth Form and so we urgently got in the school studio and ripped it out."
What singles out Previous Business from your earlier EP?
"I'd say that the song could've gone on the EP, but they are separate in that they represent completely different stages for us. I would almost say Previous Business is the EP's newborn baby."
How was putting out Previous Business different to putting out the EP?
"I wouldn’t say we rushed it, but we were very swift with its production. Overall I think the release reflects the blurriness and instantaneousness of the song."
"Umm I enjoyed the drums on the track, and how they followed the guitar closely"
Now, to catch you while you're on your knees, what ARE these lyrics about?
"*sigh* Alright I'll tell you... but you really shouldn't have caught me on my knees like that.
The lyrics are about regrets that become more diluted as time moves on. I liked the idea of the narrator proudly admitting shitty things he's done to a punk rock track. And although they are cryptic, they mostly involve how I treated my older brother when I was young, and how being young is never really an excuse when you knew you were doing harm."

A speculated album cover we could've gone with. Still reads like 'Previous Business' if you ask me.
East Angrier XI

We opened for East Angrier XI in Peterborough on the 12th July. It was a really fun experience,
going all the way down and playing a set for strangers. Very different from the usual crowd who
are mostly our mates, but fun regardless. In fact, it was quite special playing to a room of complete
strangers as it meant we could be more flexible with our setlist: no saving the best till last. Here's what it looked like:
We saw a few other bands there, and what they're doing is really spiffing. The Ostrich Inn is definitely worth a visit, and it was pretty hard to name an equivalent venue here in Sheffield.

What's next?
Tramlines fringe is not the end of our mischeif, but we'll tell you all about that soon enough. In other news, we plan to release some video material onto the internet. This might be documentations of our recent adventures such as the East Angrier XI we opened for in Peterborough, or perhaps lyric videos to expand on the world further.
To close the letter, enjoy an issue of McGrail's comic 'Bootcamp' that we've attached.
